VERÓNICA DE NORIEGA
Verónica is a lawyer by the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the University of Lima (2011), graduated with honors, and she has recently been admitted by the Master in Commercial and Investment Arbitration at the University of Alcalá, Spain.
She has extensive experience in arbitration and judicial litigation in telecommunications, mining, fishing, energy, hydrocarbons and infrastructure, as well as in contractual, corporate, administrative, contentious-administrative and constitutional law matters.
She is an Arbitrator of the Arbitration Center of the Lima Chamber of Commerce and of the Arbitration and Dispute Resolution Center Ankawa International- CARD-ANKAWA INTL, as well as a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CiArb), ArbitralWomen, the Peruvian Society of Construction Law, the Spanish Arbitration Club and the Arbitration and Litigation Committees of the International Bar Association (IBA).
She also has postgraduate studies in International Arbitration and Investments at the Graduate School of the Universidad del Pacífico and the International Arbitration Center of AMCHAM, and in Administrative Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
In 2020, she completed the Latin American International Arbitration Course (LAIAC) of the Geneva Center for International Dispute Settlement (CIDS, University of Geneva, Switzerland) and the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). In 2021, she completed the Arbitration Superior Course offered by the International Centre for Arbitration, Mediation and Negotiation (CIAMEN) of the Royal Institute of European Studies (Universidad de San Pablo, Madrid), with the collaboration of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
She has been recognized, in her personal capacity, by the Leader's League Ranking 2020, 2021 and 2022 as part of Simons law firm in the categories:

Before joining Simons Abogados, she worked at Santistevan de Noriega & Asociados law firm, as legal assistant to the founding partner (Jorge Santistevan de Noriega+), in the areas of civil law, arbitration, constitutional law, administrative law and corporate law. Likewise, she began her arbitration work as ad-hoc arbitration secretary in national and international arbitrations in commercial and government contracting matters, receiving permanent training in such matters and in investment arbitration.
She is the author of several publications on arbitration, judicial and constitutional matters and has been a speaker at the main arbitration and judicial academic events held in Peru.
She is fluent in Spanish and English.
